History & facts

About the building

JMR Splendor's architecture combines authentic period details with today's comfort, without compromise. The building was constructed in 1920 and fully restored and renovated in 2025. All exterior design elements were preserved and restored. The interiors reinterpret classic style through chandeliers, upholstery and solid wood furniture. The 13 units include 11 rooms of 20 to 35 m² and two lofts: CLEOPATRA, at 90 m², and VENUS, at 85 m². Seven units have a private sauna.

Before arrival, you complete online check-⁠in using the link sent to you right after booking. On arrival day, your personal access codes are sent to you by WhatsApp or SMS. There is no physical reception desk. The JMR team is available 24/7 by phone and WhatsApp for questions and help during your stay. You can also book by phone at the same number.

What the guest disliked: Mijn beviel dat alles zo schoon en netjes was dat de minibar goed compleet was er was zelfs een ijsmachine in je kamer. De badkamer was erg schoon was overal aan gedacht. Echt een perfecte plek.

Property location was great, and the staff I comunicated with was very nice and helpful, responded fast every time. I will definetely chose to stay here again.

What the guest liked: A wonderful and comfortable stay Thank you very much—almost everything was perfect. The bed was large and comfortable, making it ideal for a relaxing night as a couple. The room, bathroom and sauna were all extremely clean, and thoughtful essentials such as toothbrushes were provided. Everything that you see on the picture is what you will get there. The whole place smelled fresh and pleasant from the moment we entered the building. We also loved the modern keypad locks—you only need to enter a code, so there is no metal key to carry or worry about losing. The only issue was that we could not find any information showing the prices of the items in the refrigerator. We assumed they were complimentary and enjoyed them. A clearly displayed minibar price list would help prevent this confusion. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. We’ll definitely be back soon—we’re already missing the place!

What the guest liked: Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Ein Zimmer mit Sauna und freistehender Badewanne zum dem Preis findet man nicht allzu häufig.

What the guest disliked: Wir haben die Entfernung zum Strand und in die Stadtmitte ein wenig unterschätzt. Da wir gerne Laufen, war das für uns kein Problem.
